Tandem jump

In August 1999, I did a tandem freefall parachute jump to raise money for the Scoliosis Association (UK). I had never done anything like this before and several people were concerned for my safety (and sanity!). In the event, I couldn't have enjoyed it more. It was the most amazing experience, and impossible to describe to anyone who has not done it.

The jump took place at Langar in Nottinghamshire and I entrusted my safety to Dave Morris, a truly lovely man who has over 7000 jumps to his credit. The photos were taken by Gary Wainwright (Swoop) who was freefalling alongside Dave and I - a very clever chap.

The grin is of pure pleasure - it lasted long after the event :)

Wow! What a fantastic experience!

I'm very pleased to say that I raised a total of £1187 in sponsorship! This was used to buy a new PC for SAUK, and to start them off with a web-site and e-mail. Many thanks to all who sponsored me so generously.
