I left Paralio Astros in the summer of 2007, I walked along the shopping street
and asked the owners of the shops and restaurants to stand outside their
establishments for a photo. I didn't get them all, but this is a good selection
of the people you will meet there. I am all in favour of using the small local
businesses. They are much friendlier than the impersonal supermarkets, and instead
of having to guess whether you are buying salt or ammonia crystals (yes - I have
seen this done!), the owners will help you to find what you want. I like these photos - they really show the personalities of the traders. Sorry not to have all the names - I am really bad at remembering names, as any of my customers will tell you. Many thanks to Angeliki for supplying me with most of them! The pics are thumbnails.
